Verbundprojekt A³ Auszeit – Aktiv – Arbeit in the federal program rehapro

Preventive time out against the negative spiral

Three target groups, three locations: For the project Auszeit - Aktiv - Arbeit (A³) three districts in Hesse have joined forces. They work preventively with people who are particularly at risk of falling into a vicious circle of health impairment and long-term unemployment. The municipal job center in Fulda cares for single parents with health problems, the municipal job center in Hersfeld-Rotenburg cares for mentally ill people and the Vogelsbergkreis - municipal job center for orthopedic patients and people with cardiovascular diseases.

In project groups of up to 15 people, the participants are supported for up to two years. The aim is to enable or improve both professional and health-related participation. To achieve this, the project works in four phases and far outside the structures of the SBG II. Participation is voluntary; central, cross-legal contact persons* ensure close support as social coaches.

In a first clearing phase, potential interested parties are informed about the project. The individual interviews are deliberately held outside the job center, often in the respective social environment. The subsequent time out is intended to strengthen the participants' resources and activate their self-help potential: For around eight weeks, they work in group and individual formats on topics such as health, exercise and nutrition. Afterwards, together with the social coaches, they summarize their personal findings from the time out and draw up individual support and help plans. During the implementation phase, they remain in close contact with their contact persons.

Further information about the project in the Vogelsberg district can be obtained from the project team and on our Flyer.
